My courses

I´ve taken a few courses in silver- and goldsmithery. The first ones I took in 1996/1997. I took three courses in Kvöldskóli Kópavogs when Óli taught there. Óli is the owner and goldsmith in Gullsmiðja Óla in Smáralind.

I decided to go back to Kvöldskóli Kópavogs in 2004 and took a course when Elísabet Ásberg taught there. Elísabet Ásberg has a workshop on Grettisgata.

At that time I decided to buy myself the gear needed to make jewellery at home.

Then in 2005 I took a course in Iðnskólinn í Reykjavík, and this time Harpa taught me all kinds of wonderful things.

And in 2008 I was back in Kvöldskóli Kópavogs and this time Leifur was teaching me new stuff. Leifur owned Gullhöllin when it was on Laugavegur.

At the moment I´m taking an advanced course in silver smithing at Tækniskólinn (formerly known as Iðnskólinn) and there Þorgbergur is the one teaching me to make settings for my stones

So all in all I´ve taken 7 courses in over 13 years and all of them have been fun.
