By accident I must have pushed some buttons on this computer because suddenly I turned on a web camera. I didn´t know there was one! I played with it for a little while and found out I could take pictures of me with it. I had some fun doing that so I decided to post 2 of them here, just for the sheer fun of it:)

Trade show :)

Tomorrow I´m taking part in a trade show in Ráðhús Reykjavíkur on the 2nd floor between 11:30 and 13:30. It is held with staff members of the city of Reykjavík that have been doing some things they like to show and sell.

I hope a lot of people come by and see what we are doing there

So many ideas, so little time

I´ve been very busy lately and have not had the time to do much jewellery making, but I hope to have a little time over the weekend to do some fun stuff!

I have a lot of ideas and some orders to make… so I better start doing something about it soon!

Business Cards

Kristín, my co worker, told me about a website that has all kinds of business related products and I totally lost it:) I ordered, among other things, business cards and I think they look so cool. I wasn´t sure if  I could have the special Icelandic letters so I chose words that didn´t need the  Icelandic Alphabet.  I found out after I ordered that it is possible to have the Icelandic letters on the products. So next time I decide to have some marketing fun I will have different text on the business cards. These will do for now:

No show

I applied for a place in a sale show in October/November that is handled by Handverk og hönnun but I got turned down. There were so many applying and only few small places for new artists. Better luck next time, I hope!

Long time-no post

Me and my family went on a two week vacation so I´ve not been posting anything lately.

On this vacation I bought a new camera and I hope it is better than the old one because I really like to post nice pictures of my designs so it showes how nice they are.

I´ve been making a few new necklaces that I like to post a picture of when I find the time… hopefully over the weekend since it is a long one:)

A group photo from London

I decided to go to London and see my favorite writer talk about writing and things related to him and his books. After the talk I got some of my books (by him) signed.

John and some of his readers from the London meeting went to a pub and there this picture was taken. On it you can see Stuart, Douglas, Sarah, Daryl, John, Kieron, Thigi and myself.

Here am I with John after he signed some of my books, I took 6 of them with me to London and bought the new one, The Reapers, in Borders.

Brooch, copper and brass

This brooch is one of the first I ever made. It is made out of copper and brass with 3 small Zirkon stones. When I was looking through some of my older stuff I found this one and since I´m posting my work on this website I decided to post this piece too. Even though it´s a very old design it still has some sentimental value for me:)

I actually think this piece must be about 12 years old.

Long time, no post

I´ve been very busy and there fore I haven´t had time to post any more pictures of my jewelery. I´ve been busy at work and that will continue to be very busy place until the end of April/beginning of May. I´ve managed to go to my garage a few times and I finished my silver smithing course over a week ago. I will post the pictures of the pieces I made when I get the time.

I also had a home-introduction at my friends house. Guðbjörg invited some friends and neighbours to see what I have been designing and I sold some of the things I have posted here.

The store, Norska húsið in Stykkishólmur, asked for my jewelery to be sold there over the summer and I  will send them some of the things I´ve made and some new pieces. I´m sure the lava pearls will be popular this summer. I also have some shells and amethyst nuggets I like to make nice jewelery with.
